Matthew Hiebert, Education Specialist
Matthew Hiebert is an education specialist with broad experience encompassing technical advisory work, project management, and M&E, as well as extensive K-12 classroom teaching. His technical expertise includes the development and delivery of capacity building programs (with focus on teacher education), results based management, school development and educational planning, student assessment, student centered pedagogy, educational resource development, and adult/professional education. Matt has done graduate research on the role of education in sustainable development, as well as tacit teaching and student socialization in the achievement of progressive educational goals related to citizenship, social justice, and environmental sustainability. Countries of experience include: Egypt, China, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Peru, Taiwan, Guatemala, and remotely, Iraq. Matt is currently Team Leader of the Early Childhood Education Enhancement Project (ECEEP-CAT), and is consulting on several other projects.
