Mongolia, Mongolian Agricultural Development Project (World Bank): January 1993–December 1993

Sector: Agriculture and Agribusiness
Region: North and Central Asia

Identified reasons for the rapid decline in the Mongolian grain sector after 1990 and developed ways to arrest this decline by focussing on policy changes and new investments in research and grain farm assets.

 

China, Northwest Poverty Reduction Project, China (World Bank): January 1998–

Sector: Governance and Public Sector Reform
Region: North and Central Asia

Assisted the World Bank and provincial authorities in project identification, pre-appraisal and appraisal of a poverty reduction project to be implemented in Inner Mongolia, Gansu and Qinghai.
