Applications are invited from Canadian nationals exceeding the following requirements:
• Master’s Degree or higher in education or closely related field;
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in international development;
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the education sector, preferably including classroom teaching or school leadership experience;
• Prior experience with donor-sponsored operations and contracts (experience with CIDA is highly desirable);
• Prior experience building collaborative relationships with high-level government stakeholders, and liaising with foreign and local technical consultants;
• Superior communication skills - verbal, written, analytical;
• Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in cross-cultural settings (experience working in the Caribbean/ French-speaking Africa is highly desirable);
• Technical specialization in a relevant area such as school leadership, teacher professional development, early childhood education, distance education, or curriculum development;
• Fluent in written and spoken French.
