The Team

Merydth Holte-McKenzie, Health and Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist

Merydth is a community health and monitoring and evaluation specialist with 14 years of experience as a manager and consultant, planning, implementing and evaluating community health, HIV/AIDS and gender projects in Central America, Africa and Asia. As a specialist in capacity building, Merydth has worked with governments, the private sector, NGOs and communities to develop and implement organizational and community capacity assessments, lessons-learned processes and performance measurement tools; guidelines and sector-specific strategies for gender mainstreaming and HIV prevention; frameworks for monitoring, reporting and documenting community development with a focus on primary health care, HIV/AIDS and gender empowerment; and projects ranging from local initiatives to bilateral contracts. Currently, Merydth is managing the Canada-Pakistan HIV/AIDS Surveillance Project (HASP). She has an MSc in Community Health from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (UK).
