Funded by Global Affairs Canada, the Vietnam Skills for Employment Project (VSEP) is implemented by Agriteam Canada in partnership with the College of the North Atlantic, and supported by Niagara College and Durham College. The project aims to strengthen Vietnam’s technical and professional education and training sector to better serve the Vietnamese growing economy.
This month, a delegation of 12 Vietnamese educational policy-makers – from senior government to college and university officials – visited Canada to complete a high-level study tour to learn about the role provincial government plays in coordinating and supporting colleges, particularly in the areas of funding, reporting, quality assurance and articulation. The delegates toured Niagara and Durham Colleges and met with college administrators and student representatives to tour the campuses and discuss how the Canadian government encourages colleges to meet provincial economic and social development goals, particularly related to gender and inclusion.
